BIOGRAPHY

Michelle Sneed is a veteran industry executive with over 17 years of experience in television and film production. As a seasoned executive, Michelle is known for her revered leadership skills and acquired expertise in all phases of content development, execution, and exhibition, spanning the scripted and unscripted entertainment arenas.

Throughout her career, as an industry executive, Michelle has personally experienced the effects of what the lack of diversity and inclusion can do. To be a part of the change she wants to see, Michelle decided to take her talents, experience, and passion to start her latest endeavor: A Few Good Women®.

Prior to starting her own company, Michelle served as the President of Production and Development of Tyler Perry Studios for over 10 years, overseeing all film, television, and new media projects. During this role, Michelle led the launches and produced 7 new television shows and one re-boot, creating over 450 television episodes and three feature films. Michelle’s work includes the top-rated BET Networks and BET+ streaming series “Sistas,” “The Oval,” “Ruthless,” “Bruh,” and “All the Queen’s Men.” She also served as an executive producer for “Young Dylan” on Nickelodeon and the psychological thriller “A Fall From Grace,” “A Madea Homecoming,” and “Jazzman’s Blues” on Netflix.

Before her role at Tyler Perry Studios, Michelle served as Director of Physical Production for BET Networks. She oversaw and executed over 100 packages of short-form programming. As a decisive team player, Michelle produced multiple original docu- and reality series, the classic BET Awards, numerous specials, tentpole events, and a critically acclaimed late-night talk show, “The Rundown with Robin Thede,” during her tenure.

Michelle was the first black woman President of a major motion picture studio, Tyler Perry Studios. She was named on The Hollywood Reporter’s 2019 Women In Entertainment Power 100 list. Essence Magazine’s Black Women in Hollywood has recognized Michelle for her talent and extensive work multiple times.

A graduate of Michigan State University, Michelle currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She is on the Board of Governors for the coveted Paley Center, the Dream Chasers Foundation, and also a member of the Producers Guild of America. Michelle was honored with the “Givers Award” for the Foundation Girls with Gifts in 2022.
