About Michelle Sneed
Michelle Sneed is a veteran television and film industry executive with over 17 years of experience spanning the scripted and unscripted entertainment arenas.
Known for her revered leadership skills and as a decisive team player – striking the balance between creative and production throughout all phases of content development, execution and exhibition, Michelle decided to take her talents, experience and passion to start her latest endeavor: A Few Good Women Productions, where she and the dynamic women around her are asking the question “Why do big studios get to have all the fun?” This boutique studio and production company operates under a hybrid traditional motion picture studio model combined with the foundation of a production company. It is founded on the notion that it is crucial to create vehicles for fair, equal, and meaningful opportunity for diverse creatives, both in front of and behind the camera, starting in the equitable and executive-level roles — because the Company believes that true opportunity for diverse storytelling and ownership starts at the top. The power to greenlight and underwrite these projects with high-integrity deal-making is essential to the future and standing of diverse executives, producers and storytellers.
A Few Good Women Productions embraces projects driven by complex and dynamic characters who represent diverse people, places, cultures, and concepts. Primarily rooted in scripted episodic content and feature films, with the belief that “as long as there’s great story and vision, we can make it come to life.”
A Few Good Women® is a full service content studio and production company that embraces projects driven by complex and dynamic characters who represent diverse people, places, cultures, and concepts. High integrity & expertise that make things happen
Producing premium content requires each pertinent phase of development, production and post-production, high-level deal-making and uninterrupted cash flow – along with managing multiple producers, on-camera talent, major vendors and studio operations, licensing & distribution, marketing & promo, residuals and so much more. Each of these items are in Michelle’s wheelhouse and proven track record, along with her strong work-ethic and impeccable leadership skills. Michelle’s high-volume, full-phase production expertise resulted in her producing over 200+ hours of content on a yearly basis and even more content hours in asset-delivery. Michelle is truly a force to be reckoned with.
Fearless decision-making skills
Michelle has served as a studio and network executive, and executive producer of hundreds of scripted television episodes, multiple films, and unscripted and live event productions in the cable and premium streaming spaces. She also identified and lead the opportunity to drive millions of dollars in post-production revenue, creating the work-flow and infrastructure to support over 400+ hours of content to filter through each year. These endeavors along with her superior skill-set in scheduling and building effective systems and protocols led to the colossal accomplishment of keeping production running safely during the pandemic, actually managing to increase productivity during that tumultuous time in the industry.
Working with community to help young talents become creative leaders
Michelle proudly supports non-profit organizations like Dreamchasers Inc., Girls With Gifts, Inc., and Streetlights. Their mission is to empower young, diverse creatives and encourage them to achieve career success through training, developing, and mentoring. Michelle stands for the growth of people, and she wants to set a culture that embraces inclusion and acceptance for diverse storytelling and creatives in the entertainment field.
